Based on LCD technology, the Nec M300XS projects images in a Short Distance environment, with technical specs listing 3000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a XGA 1024 x 768 resolution. According to Nec, the lamp has a durability of 4000 hours – mathematically sufficient for 5.5 years based on two hours of use per day. With its short projection distance, the short-throw model excels in smaller rooms, requiring only 94 cm of wall distance for an image width of 2 meters. Regarding projection size, the value of 3000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 477 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 318 cm. As an additional feature, an integrated media player enables the direct playback of files without an external source device. For convenient remote monitoring and administration, the projector is equipped with a classic RJ45 network socket. This model dates back to 2010 and is no longer part of Nec's current product range. However, it remains frequently searched within our database.
