Designed for the Stationary sector, the UD8900U model from Mitsubishi features 7500 ANSI lumens, a native WUXGA 1920 x 1200 resolution and a contrast ratio of 2800:1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 2000 hours. An integrated lens shift provides significant leeway for placement. The lens can be adjusted to precisely align the image even with off-center installations. A major advantage for professional installations is the ability to use interchangeable lenses, allowing the projector to adapt to highly varied projection distances. Which optic is required for a specific case can easily be calculated via the Projection Calculator. Regarding projection size, the value of 7500 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 880 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 587 cm. Should very large projection surfaces be required, the integrated edge-blending software offers the possibility to seamlessly combine images from multiple projectors without visible seams. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content. An additional 360° projection capability allows the device to be oriented at almost any angle. For integration into professional environments, an RJ45 connection is available for network control and remote maintenance. The projector was released in 2013 and is officially no longer distributed by Mitsubishi.
