The InFocus LP550 is a Laser-LCD projector offering 130 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 50:1 and a resolution of VGA 640 x 480. The manufacturer specifies a runtime of 50 hours for this projector's lamp. Regarding projection size, the value of 130 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 99 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 66 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by InFocus.
Standard-Portabel | External training and company presentations, as well as product presentations. Very narrow picture width and rooms with very little light.
Only to be used in a fully darkened room
- Picture width for me approx. 230 cm at a distance of approx. 4.5 meters.

Experiences in brief
I have had the projector for a short time now and am very satisfied.
:)
To mention it right away - it is an old device and has NOTHING! in common with today‘s top
beamers.
I wanted a very inexpensive device ( acquisition costs ) + low follow-up costs ( lamps ).
Pros - good part - well made - relatively idiot-proof in operation - cheap - cheap lamps - computer or dvd player / media hard disk can be connected.
Home cinema feeling for low budget
Cons - no zoom or other usual picture adjustment options ( except focus of course )
and a completely useless "compress" function where the picture looks blurred.
Solution: set picture size to "auto" on the DVD player and it is displayed in full.
Picture a bit dark, but still ok in my opinion (tip - also tweak the dvd player a bit, not just the projector = better ratio)
You can see the pixels on this model, but it doesn‘t bother me any more (but it‘s not nearly as bad as on DIY projectors with 2,x inch panels )
low resolution is ok in my opinion - I find it ok - 1.4 million colors can be set - also ok
Fan - LOUD - but for the cinema evening you can turn it up a bit louder then it fits.
( of course via external systems - the built-in speakers are mini and not suitable)
and now the biggest PROOOO - there are also lamps that last 500 hours for the projector - cost approx. 11 euros
80 points I give for the part as a low-budget solution for great movie nights
100
- 10 for the volume of the fan
- 10 for the somewhat dark picture
