If room light is present, we recommend not exceeding a maximum width of 209 cm. The projector was released in 2000 and is officially no longer distributed by InFocus. so this was my first projector back then.
I still have 7500 DM for it.
The lamp broke right after 400 hours.
A new lamp only cost 900 DM.
Okay, its a great projector considering how old it is. The picture is great. There is nothing to complain about.
Only the fan is super-duper loud. Because of the loud fan, I got extra Dolby Surround to drown it out.
Ive been a dad for a few years now, so theres no more Dolby Souround Sound when the little one is ing. So I need a new projector.
But this time Ill get a really cheap one...
Its shocking, by the way, that a LP from a German auction house goes for about 15 euros these days...*sob*

I don‘t think the InFocus LP340 is bad either. Since the lamp is too expensive for me, I converted the projector to Ostar LED. The picture is a bit dark... and only possible in absolute darkness, but I only have 20W power consumption in the lamp, and a service life of several years with good cooling. (LED gets darker quickly at high operating temperatures...)
Unfortunately, the fans are very loud... in two out of three a feedback (tacho signal) ensures that they are not removed. However, a small clock generator based on NE555 can bypass this.
A throttling with potentiometer/resistor is also possible!
Whoever installs the LED should also bypass the optocouplers for the power supply and the lamp box circuit breaker, otherwise the DLP chip will not release. You can find a lot of information about this in the DIY forum.

I only have one point that I don‘t quite like
Unfortunately the projector doesn‘t have a sleep timer because I have converted my bedroom into a cinema and when the movie gets boring it can happen that I fall asleep and can‘t manage to switch off the projector. It runs the whole night for nothing and that‘s a pity for the 6-8 hour run that the lamp does, but all in all I can say that the device is great, not everyone turns a bedroom into a movie theater
