The basic data of the HongTianPao V66(silver) includes 1200 ANSI lumens, a resolution of SVGA 800 x 600 as well as a contrast of 600:1. The manufacturer lists the lamp life at 6000 hours, which amounts to roughly 8.2 years at 2 hours of daily use. Looking at practical performance, up to 302 cm can be illuminated with 1200 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 201 cm. This is a discontinued model that is no longer officially distributed by HongTianPao.

Also, this projector is certainly not for everyone!
I‘m a student and don‘t have much money. I bought the V66 for 160,- on ebay.
I was very skeptical at first. I have been using the projector for a good month now and I am more satisfied than expected. But for the price, the picture is big enough. I watch on a 2.20 m x 1.80 m screen!
The projector is very good for DVD (movies), good for consoles
The projector is not suitable as a replacement for a conventional PC monitor. I wouldn‘t use it for complex presentations either.
The illumination and brightness are fine as long as you darken the room.
The fan is very, very loud. However, as I use my 5.1 system, the fan noise doesn‘t bother me much and you get used to it very quickly.
FAZIT: The bulbs for the projector cost between 10 and 50 euros, I even found suitable bulbs in a ZOO specialist shop for 19.90 euros, the specified service life is 6000 to 8000 hours!
The picture is totally fine for a DVD evening, you don‘t need to justify yourself to your guests or be ashamed! I‘ve now shown a good 16 people DVDs on it and they‘re all delighted.
Low purchase price, low follow-up costs, but the picture is not HDTV-comparable and can only be used in the dark because of the relatively low luminosity. (But to be honest, I always watch movies in the evening or at night anyway)
The projector can be used from a projection distance of 1.50 meters, so the picture is smaller, but it‘s bright and sharp.
If you want to use the full image width, you have to live with dark rooms, but then you can easily achieve a 3.4 meter diagonal!!!
So I can only give the device full marks for my purpose!
But if you have no problem paying 350 euros for a lamp, you should buy a projector for 1000 euros
To all trainees and students, home theater lovers in dark rooms - you will not regret the purchase!
