Based on LCD technology, the Brilens TS-1280 device delivers 288 ANSI lumens, a resolution of WXGA 1280 x 800 and a contrast of 100000:1 as a projector. Brilens lists a runtime of 50000 hours for the LED in this projector – calculating to 34.2 years at four hours of use per day. The specifications indicate lens shift optics, allowing the image to be physically shifted without digital image artifacts. The Distance Calculator is available for room planning. A special feature is the short-throw lens, which allows the device to be positioned at a very short distance from the screen. According to the data sheet, an image width of 2 meters is achieved from a distance of just 120 cm. To ensure objective comparability, an approximate ANSI lumen value was calculated based on the lumen specifications. Regarding projection size, the value of 288 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 172 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 115 cm. Regarding signal processing, the model is compatible with incoming 1080P content.
