The MP610 model from Benq combines DLP technology in the Standard-Portabel sector with 2000 ANSI lumens, a contrast of 2000:1 and a native SVGA 800 x 600 resolution. The manufacturer rates the durability of the included lamp at 3000 hours. Regarding projection size, the value of 2000 ANSI lumens allows for an image width of up to 389 cm in darkened environments. In rooms with ambient light, the image width should be correspondingly reduced to a maximum of 259 cm. With a value of only 29 decibels, the noise level during operation remains pleasantly in the background. Since entering the market in 2005, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model. In our projector directory, the device still generates high interest.

5 years of Benq MP610
I‘ve now spent more than 5 years with the Benq MP610. It has worked diligently for around 1100 hours and will continue to do so!
Picture quality is great...the switch to HD will also take a while for me...but by the time the Benq gives up the ghost there will be 4K projectors at affordable prices^^^
Bought it for 729 euros at the Mediamarkt online store two days before Christmas 2005.

Movies?
Hello,
I bought the MP610 very cheaply on Ebay. As I‘m a student and short of money, I simply couldn‘t afford anything more expensive.
I know that the projector only has a resolution of 800x600. So it‘s not possible to show a 16:9 PAL DVD without cutting off part of the picture at the top and bottom, right? Is watching a DVD still fun or do you get eye cancer?
Most of my movies have a lower resolution than a DVD. I mainly watch series in MPEG4 format with resolutions of around 640x352 or 640x480. So these do not exceed the resolution of the projector and are therefore scaled up to 800x600, right?
I would be very happy if someone who has experience with this or another SVGA projector regarding movie watching could answer this question.
Best regards

Top device
So if you don‘t have an LCD TV yet, you should look around for a projector
..... small TV for everyday use, large screen for the cinema.
I‘ve had the MP610 for 4 weeks, it cost a tenth of the
large screen TV with almost the same picture quality and a much larger picture.

Very good projector
So I have the projector now 2 months and I am also very satisfied ! Very quiet! Very good sharpness and also easy to use! Also makes a very good impression in terms of sharpness and color! It‘s a pity that the resolution is only 800 x 600 but for the price it‘s simply brilliant! Apart from the loss of resolution and the brightness in bright rooms, I can hardly notice any differences to one of our projectors at work (which cost around €5000 - €9000)! So for the price of around €500, it‘s a mega good device for the home! I‘ve now watched a lot in the 2 months (approx. 200 hours) and am absolutely satisfied! If the lamp now lasts another 3000 hours or 4000 hours (because ECO mode has hardly any loss of brightness) I can only recommend the device absolutely! Good work BenQ !

TOP BEAMER! SIMPLY AWESOME !!!!!
I bought the projector a week ago and of course tried it out immediately (on rough fiber wallpaper!). Although the room was super bright (workplace) the Benq threw a super picture on the wallpaper!!! It is connected to the PC via the supplied cable. In Eco mode there is virtually no loss of brightness and it‘s suuuuuuper quiet! I first had to torture the projector with a computer game (need for Speed), I could play with the Benq all day, it‘s really fun!!! Absolute buy recommendation!!! The HP VP6311 is also supposed to be very good. I would strongly recommend comparing prices. You can forget Ebay when it comes to prices. ByeSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
