As a projector, the Compaq MP 3800 combines DLP technology with a resolution of XGA 1024 x 768, and is additionally specified with 1300 ANSI lumens and a contrast of 800 : 1. In operating mode, the installed projector lamp offers a lifespan of 1000 hours. Looking at practical performance, up to 314 cm can be illuminated with 1300 ANSI lumens in dark environments. Once daylight is in the room, the image should ideally be no wider than 209 cm. Since entering the market in 2002, production has been discontinued; the manufacturer no longer actively offers the model.
